Thank you for visiting my site!
I’m proud of Arizona’s progress since I was elected. Our budget is balanced, our economy is growing, we’ve added hundreds of millions of dollars to education, and Arizona is one of the best states in the country to do business in.
I voted for the largest tax cuts in Arizona history, the Arizona Jobs Bill, and SB1070. I authored Arizona’s transparency laws and the ban on affirmative action, and have championed the cause of religious liberty. I have a 100% pro-life, pro-family, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-border security voting record, and won the Hero of the Taxpayer award. I also wrote the American Civics Act, a first in the nation bill requiring high school students to demonstrate competency in our nation’s history and civics.
It has been the honor of my life to serve the people of Arizona in the State Legislature, but the time has come to take on a new and important challenge. When Congressman Trent Franks told me that the time had come for him to return to Arizona and that he wanted me to run to continue his important work, I was both saddened that we might lose such an effective champion for our values, and humbled that he would ask me to step up.
Congress is a mess. If we had more good men and women like Trent Franks we wouldn’t be facing $20 Trillion in debt, a crushing regulatory burden, a bloated federal budget, and a hollowed out military. Like I did when I was first elected and inherited a nearly bankrupt Arizona, I promise to do everything I can to build consensus, solve problems, and restore sanity to a system that has gone off the rails. I know that as just one Congressman I can’t fix it all, but I can give my all trying to fix it.
I invite you to look at my record and my positions on issues and, if you share my positions, I ask you to click on the Volunteer tab and let me know your name, email address, and how you want to be involved in our effort. This is an unexpected race so your financial support will also make an important difference, so please Contribute today as well.
Thanks again for taking the time to visit. I hope I can count on your prayers and your vote.
